Care Pack Update – for Hearth Support Workers

Hearth Support Services Care Pack Update – for Hearth Support Workers

You may be aware that on March 16th the Hearth Support Services team started contacting as many of our Participants and Support Workers as possible to see if there was any way we could assist our community of Participants and or their Support Workers during the coronavirus pandemic beyond what we already deliver.

The feedback we received indicated that on top of dealing with the challenges of COVID-19 and everything that entails, shortages of personal protection equipment (PPE) were making life even more challenging and stressful.

Consequently, as part of the Hearth COVID-19 Action Plan we began sourcing PPE from wherever we could, which as you know is not easy because demand has outstripped supply.

The good news is that we have received our final delivery of PPE, so the Hearth Head Office Team has been able to start delivering Hearth Care Packs today where we can!

Each Hearth Care Pack contains.

  • 1 x pack (100) of small Ansell nitrile gloves
  • 1 x pack (100) of medium Ansell nitrile gloves
  • 20 x Ultra shield Alcohol towelettes
  • 7 x Med-con Surgical Face Masks
  • 2 x 60ml Hand Sanitiser
  • 1 x COVID-19 Front Door Sign

We appreciate that not every Participant and or you, their Support Worker will need and or be able to use everything in our care pack. If some items in the care pack are not required, we would ask that the Participant give the items to whomever they believe can use them in their community or network.

My hope is that the care packs will be of some help in these extremely difficult times.

As always, we are here to help, if you need any kind of assistance please do not hesitate to contact your Relationship Manager and they will do their best to assist.

Here is hoping better times are not far away!

Warm Regards,

Justin Scanlon
