Hearth COVID – 19 Lockdown 2.0 –  Action Plan – Update (4)

In response to the Victorian Premiers announcement on July 7 the “Stage 3 “Stay at Home” restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July,” we have updated our COVID-19 Action Plan as follows.

Business Continuity

We are continuing to deliver the essential service of disability support and are taking every step to maintain the safety of our participants and support workers.

Back to School

The premier has announced “I can confirm that all Year 11 and Year 12 students in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will go back to school for Term 3 as planned, along with our special schools.

If you need to modify your Support Worker schedule, please do not hesitate to contact your Relationship Manager who can facilitate any changes.

Extra Support – PPE

We do have limited supplies of masks, nitrile gloves and hand sanitiser remaining. If you urgently need some PPE please contact us oninfo@hearthaustalia.com.au and we will do our best to assist.

Community Access

As per the Victorian Premiers media release 7th July 2020 and “SUMMARY OF RESTRICTIONS – RETURN TO STAGE 3 11:59PM 8 JULY 2020” for metropolitan Melbourne local government areas (LGAs) and the Mitchel Shire LGA,  there have been changes to community access i.e. “Stay at Home, except for four reasons: necessary goods or services; work and education if necessary; medical care or compassionate reasons; exercise and recreation

In Home Support Resources

One of the outcomes of COVID-19 is the need to spend more time at home. Consequently, as previously mentioned the Hearth Team has developed a list of specific “COVID-19 Digital Activities” from around the world which may assist to create an activity plan which helps manage the time inside the home.
