Hearth presents to Monash Student Society

By Liv Gorman

Hearth continued the partnership with Monash University on Monday, 20th May presenting to the Students’ Neuroscience and Psychology Society (SNAPS) at Monash. The workings at Hearth, the NDIS and importantly the opportunity for students to gain valuable experience through support work were discussed.

Members of the SNAPS student society are psychology students, neuroscience students and those generally passionate about mental health and behaviours. Industry events and networking opportunities are coordinated by students and the university.

Support Work is a very rewarding role in the Disability sector. The sector is one of the fastest growing employment sectors. Support Work is particularly valuable experience for Allied Health university students who can develop great skills and capabilities, sought after by employers. Justin, Hearth’s Managing Director really appreciates the strong partnership with the Monash SNAPS society headed by Laura Astbury.
