Hearth welcomes new Swinburne Intern

By Liv Gorman

Hearth is thrilled to be continuing their partnership with Swinburne University of Technology as they welcome new Intern, Chelsea Hunt. Chelsea is enjoying her Bachelor of Psychology study at Swinburne and finds many aspects of her degree are applicable to what we do at Hearth.

Chelsea is currently supporting the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Liv Gorman who is launching the upcoming ‘Hearth Goals Initiative’. She is also working with our website developer to produce new resources for the Hearth website. Our previous Intern, Nicole Zampogna, supported the Recruitment Team in 2018 and is now a full-time Hearth employee.

Chelsea will take up a range of experiences that provide an overview of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and gain experience working alongside the Hearth Recruitment Team. The most important aspect of the internship for Chelsea will be the provision of hands-on experience whether it be in the office or offsite at home visits.

“I am grateful for Hearth to work in such an energised and passionate team,” Chelsea says, “it feels good to know I am making a difference to the lives of people with a disability.”
