Joanne Whiteoak Appointed Senior Speech Pathologist at Hearth Allied Health

Hearth Allied Health is incredibly pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Whiteoak to the position of Senior Speech Pathologist.

Joanne is a highly experienced Speech Pathologist with over 25 years’ experience working in Australia and the United Kingdom.

This has included work in private and public acute and rehabilitation facilities, such as Alfred Health, Epworth Healthcare, Monash Health, Western Health and HCA International (UK).

Joanne demonstrates excellence in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with acquired speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing difficulties.

These difficulties may arise as a consequence of an acquired disability, stroke, head injury, neuro-surgical intervention, progressive neurological disease, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) disorders or a range of other conditions.

Joanne is committed to provision of client centred support to ensure assessment and therapy is tailored to an individual’s needs and can assist with improving their ability to participate in everyday life, including assistance with return to work, study or leisure pursuits.

Joanne’s experience also extends to the presentation of lectures and workshops overseas, involvement in research projects, development of competency and quality improvement programs and she has been instrumental in the development of departmental hospital policies.

We feel extremely fortunate to have attracted Joanne to our organisation and know that her extensive clinical skills working with adult acquired communication, cognitive, swallowing and voice disorders will help us make a real difference to our participants lives.

Hearth Allied Health is a rapidly growing registered NDIS provider who offers its clients a truly interdisciplinary approach.

Clients can choose from Hearth Allied Health, (Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support) and or Hearth Disability Support Worker Services and or Hearth Housing.

Importantly from a therapist point of view, joining the Hearth Allied Health team will truly enable Joanne to make a difference in the lives of our participants!
