Megan Phillips Appointed Hearth Regional Manager Positive Behaviour Support

Hearth Allied Health is thrilled to announce the appointment of Megan Phillips to the newly created position of “Regional Manager Positive Behaviour Support” based in our Bendigo office.

Megan is a very experienced registered Psychologist having worked for a broad range of organisations including the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victorian Department of Health, Amicus Community Services, and in private practice.

Over the last 15 years Megan Phillips has worked with people who have a disability with complex behaviours of concern. As a result, Megan has developed extensive skills in high quality clinical assessment, treatment, management plans and interventions.

More specifically Megan is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy, Case Management, Psychological Assessment, NDIS Restrictive Practice and Positive Behaviour Support legislation, including the Authority Program Officer (APO) /Authority Reporting Officer (ARO) role.

As our new Regional Positive Behaviour Support Manager  Megan Phillips will play a pivotal role in supporting Hearth’s commitment to provide high quality support to its regional Positive Behaviour Support clients enabling them to live their best life.

Hearth Support Services has rapidly expanded its client base across metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria. The holistic “Hearth Approach” to disability services has resonated with clients who are looking for a long-term disability support services provider partnership.

Hearth Support Services has gone through enormous change over the last 5 years since its inception in 2017!

Today Hearth Disability Support Services is an innovative and rapidly growing NDIS registered and audited provider with hundreds of Clients and hundreds of Disability Support Workers operating 24/7, 365 days a year.

At Hearth we have continued to evolve and learn rapidly to build capability, systems, and processes to be able to sustainably support a wide range of Client/Participant needs, leading to positive outcomes for our participants including some of the highest intensity support Participants in Victoria.

To this end, during 2021 we expanded our Melbourne support services to create a true client centred interdisciplinary approach to support. The additional services include Hearth Allied Health (Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) as well as Positive Behaviour Support.

We also expanded our geographical footprint in 2021 by opening an office in Bendigo and in February this year we opened an office in Geelong.

As part of the next stage of Hearth Housing our revolutionary approach to Non-Specialist Disability Housing which we launched in 2020 we recently bought our first “Hearth House” in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon. This has enabled Hearth Housing to commence a “pilot initiative” to further develop the initiative.
