Hearth Allied Health is very pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Quirk to the position of Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader.
Kelly’s appointment coincides with Hearth’s recent registration as a NDIS provider of Positive Behaviour Support.
Hearth is now a truly interdisciplinary NDIS provider offering Support Worker Services, Housing, Allied Health (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology) and Positive Behaviour Support.
Positive Behaviour Support plays a very important role in Hearth’s interdisciplinary support approach across a broad cross section of clients including those with very complex challenges.
We feel extremely fortunate to have attracted Kelly to our organisation. Kelly has wide-ranging experience working with children, young people and families experiencing complex issues including, family violence and abuse, trauma, substance dependence and addiction, homelessness, relational issues, disability, challenging behaviours including self-harm, impulse control issues and school refusal.
Kelly, with a background in Psychology and a Masters in Family Therapy, has extensive experience in case management. Kelly has worked collaboratively alongside organisations such as the Department of Health and Human Services, emergency housing, child and adolescent mental health teams, employment agencies and child protection to maximize positive outcomes for her clients.
Kelly takes a client centred approach with all interactions and considers autonomy in one’s life as a basic human right. She believes that all people, regardless of disability or other diagnoses, are entitled to live happy and fulfilled lives where they are free to exert choice and control. Kelly works with determination to ensure that her clients are empowered to do this.
Importantly from a practitioner point of view, joining the Hearth Allied Health team will truly enable her to make a difference in the lives of our clients!
Once again Kelly, congratulations and we look forward to your contribution to growing our dynamic new business venture.
