Joanne Whiteoak

Joanne Whiteoak is a highly experienced Speech Pathologist having worked in Australia and the United Kingdom for over 25 years. This has included work in private and public acute and rehabilitation facilities, such as Alfred Health, Epworth Healthcare, Monash Health, Western Health and HCA International (UK).

Joanne’s roles have been diverse and in addition to several Senior Speech Pathology roles have included Speech department management, injury management and research into the treatment of Neurotrauma aimed at improving functional communication.

Joanne’s skill set is extensive but particularly excels in the assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with acquired speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing difficulties. 

These difficulties may arise because of an acquired disability, stroke, head injury, neuro-surgical intervention, progressive neurological disease, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) disorders or a range of other conditions.  

Joanne Whiteoak is committed to the provision of client centred support to NDIS Participants to ensure assessment and therapy is tailored to an individual’s needs and can assist with improving their ability to participate in everyday life, including assistance with return to work, study or leisure pursuits.
